Biography

Kalon Barnes was originally drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but was released on the final roster cutdown. He spent the majority of the 2022 season on the Miami Dolphins practice squad, before he was signed to the Minnesota Vikings 53-man roster in mid-December.

COLLEGE - BAYLOR

Appeared in 41 games, making 15 starts, at Baylor (2018-21), posting 69 tackles (53 solo), 17 passes defensed, 3.0 tackles for loss, three interceptions, 1.0 sack and one forced fumble.
In 2021 as a senior, started 10 games at cornerback and recorded 23 tackles, five pass breakups, an INT and a fumble recovery on the season.
As a junior in 2020, played in six games, including five starts at the cornerback position and tallied 13 tackles, including 2.0 TFLs, three pass breakups and an INT on the season.
In 2019 as a sophomore, appeared in all 14 games on the year, finishing with 22 total tackles (eight solo), one forced fumble, one INT and five PBUs.
In 2018 as a freshman, appeared in 11 of 12 games.
