Biography

Placed on the Steelers’ Reserve/Injured List due to a pectoral injury on November 19, 2016…signed a new six-year contract with the Steelers on July 16, 2015…originally drafted by the Steelers in the first round (31st overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft.

Named a defensive team captain for the third straight season…started all 15 of the regular season games he played in…finished the season with a career-high 12.0 sacks, 45 tackles (30 solo), 22 quarterback hits, 16 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery…recorded four multi-sack performances in 2017, tying for most in the league…his 12.0 quarterback takedowns tied for third-most among AFC defensive linemen and tied for 6th among all NFL defensive linemen in sacks in 2017.
