Ja'Whaun Bentley was originally drafted by the New England Patriots in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Bentley spent seven seasons with the Patriots. He appeared in 83 games, starting 68. He recorded 499 total tackles, 21 tackles for a loss, 11 passes defensed, 10.5 sacks and two interceptions.
Bentley was a four-time captain for the Patriots and a member of the Super Bowl LIII championship team.
Bentley suffered a season-ending pectoral injury in Week 2 of the 2024 season.
