2016 (16-16/3-3): Started all 16 regular-season games for the third straight season…was part of an offensive line that allowed just 17.0 sacks on QB Ben Roethlisberger, the fewest sacks he has ever taken in a single-season in his career…also a part of an offensive line that paved the way for RB Le’Veon Bell to lead the NFL in scrimmage yards per game (157.0), and to set the team’s single-game record for most rushing yards in the regular season (236, Week 14 at Buffalo) and in the postseason (170, AFC Divisional Playoff at Kansas City)…started all three postseason contests.

2014 (16-16/1-1): Started at RG in all 16 regular-season games for the first time in his career…was part of an offensive line that helped block for the offense to set numerous single-season team records, including total points (436), total yards (6,577) and total first downs (379)…also helped block for an offense that led the NFL in time of possession (32:24), yards per first down play (6.42) and tied for the league lead in yards per play (6.2)…was part of an offensive line that allowed zero sacks in three games during the regular season (10/26 vs. Indianapolis, 12/7 at Cincinnati and 12/28 vs. Cincinnati)…made his postseason debut starting at RG in the AFC Wild Card Game vs. Baltimore.

2012 (4-3): Appeared in four games at RG, starting three of them...activated from the Steelers’ Reserve/Injured; Designated for Return List on November 26, after he suffered a knee injury during the preseason…dressed but did not play 12/2 at Baltimore…made his NFL debut 12/9 vs. San Diego, and he started his first career game 12/16 at Dallas.
COLLEGE: Started all 39 games at right guard for Stanford (2008-2011)…finished his career with 316 knockdowns, 68 touchdown-resulting blocks and a blocking consistency grade of 91.63%...his grade of 96.88% in 2011 was the highest mark by any offensive lineman (since consistency grades were kept in 1985) in Pac-12 Conference history…named a first-team All-American selection by The NFL Draft Report, Walter Camp, Associated Press, The Sporting News, American Football Coaches Association and Football Writers Association, and was an All-Pac-12 first-team selection in 2011…named a second-team All-American by The NFL Draft Report in 2010 and earned All-Pac-10 Conference honors…earned All-Pac-10 Conference honorable mention honors in 2009…majored in management, science and engineering.
PERSONAL: Attended Bellevue (Wash.) HS…was an all-state performer on the offensive line…the Super Prep All-American added all-state honors and was the recipient of the King County Lineman of the Year Award as a senior…helped lead his team to the state title his junior season…went on to play in the Offense-Defense All-American Game following his senior season…also competed in track, throwing shot put, an event where he captured the 2008 Washington State 3A champion with a throw of 59-3…also won the district (58-4) and the King County 3A League (58-1½) titles, as well…participated in an annual NFL-USO trip in 2015…son of Jennifer and Colin DeCastro…both parents are from South Africa…his father’s side of the family were competitive rugby players…Full name: David Michael DeCastro.
