The Steelers elevated cornerbacks Tre Flowers and D'Shawn Jamison from the practice squad to the Active/Inactive Roster for tonight's Wild Card game against the Houston Texans at Acrisure Stadium. They will revert back to the practice squad after the game.
The Steelers originally signed Flowers to the 53-man roster on Christmas Day but released him and he was signed to the practice squad on Jan. 7.
In eight seasons in the NFL, Flowers appeared in 87 games, starting 43 of them. He has four career interceptions, five forced fumbles and 22 passes defensed. He also has 270 tackles, 211 of them solo stops.
Flowers recently played for the Detroit Lions, appearing in two games in 2025.
Flowers was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the 146th overall selection, out of Oklahoma.
Flowers spent four seasons with the Seahawks, appearing in 47 games, with 40 starts. He also spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears.
Jamison spent the 2025 season on the Steelers practice squad. Jamison was elevated for the Week 11 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Week 17 against Cleveland Browns and Week 18 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Jamison was signed to a Reserve/Future contract at the end of the 2024 season and spent training camp and the preseason with the team in 2025. Jamison spent time on the Steelers practice squad during the 2024 season.
Jamison originally signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent following the 2023 NFL Draft. He was claimed off waivers by the Carolina Panthers and appeared in 15 games for the Panthers in 2023, starting two. He finished the season with five tackles, three of them solo stops, and one pass defensed.
Jamison played college football at the University of Texas where he appeared in 60 games, starting 40 of them. He recorded 139 tackles, 109 of them solo stops, six tackles for a loss, 23 passes defensed, two fumble recoveries, one sack and one forced fumble.
