Player of the Week

Williams is Digest Player of the Week

Inside Linebacker

It is Job 1 for every team in any game against the Tennessee Titans. Defenses have learned that if they don't or can't deal with Derrick Henry, their team is highly likely to lose the game, and to compound the negativity there's also a good chance some of them will end up on the Derrick Henry highlights reel.

The Steelers were in Nashville for their turn vs. Henry one week after he rushed for 212 yards (264 yards from scrimmage) and scored two touchdowns against the Texans, and they were going to have to do it without Devin Bush. The Steelers were up to the task, because in their 27-24 victory over the previously undefeated Titans on Sunday at Nissan Stadium, Henry rushed for 75 yards on 20 carries and caught two passes for minus-3 yards to finished with 72 yards from scrimmage.

Leading the way for the defense was Vince Williams, who led the team with 10 tackles, including two for loss, plus one of the defense's two sacks. Williams is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

Also considered were James Conner, who had 82 yards rushing on 20 carries, plus another 29 yards in receptions to finish with 111 yards from scrimmage; Diontae Johnson, who caught nine passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns; JuJu Smith-Schuster, who caught nine passes for 85 yards; T.J. Watt, who had five tackles, and a sack; Joe Haden, who had seven tackles and two passes defensed; Terrell Edmunds, who had two tackles and two passes defensed, including one in the end zone; and Ray-Ray McCloud, who returned three punts for 87 yards and one kickoff for 17 yards.
