The Steelers traded wide receiver Sammie Coates to the Cleveland Browns on Saturday.
In addition to Coates, the Browns will receive the Steelers seventh-round draft pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The Steelers will receive the Browns sixth-round draft pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Coates was selected by the Steelers in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Auburn. Coates had 22 receptions for 446 yards and two touchdowns in two seasons. He played in 14 games in 2016, starting five, and had 21 receptions for 435 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown.
The Steelers previously traded for tight end Vance McDonald. The Steelers traded their fourth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft in exchange for McDonald and the 49ers fifth-round pick in 2018.
