The Steelers have signed free agent center Oni Omoile (OH-knee ah-MOY-lah) to a one-year contract, the team announced today. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Omoile, an Iowa State product, joined the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted rookie free agent following the 2016 NFL Draft. He spent his rookie season on the Raiders' practice squad, and portions of the 2017 season on the practice squads of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cincinnati Bengals. Omoile was released by Cincinnati on May 14, 2018. He will wear No. 60.
To make room on the 90-man roster, the Steelers waived/injured offensive lineman Parker Collins.
