The Steelers signed linebacker Jeremiah Moon off the Carolina Panthers practice squad. In a corresponding move, the team released defensive tackle Brodric Martin-Rhodes.
Moon has appeared in 22 games, starting two. He played in one game in 2025 for the Panthers.
Moon is no stranger to the Steelers, spending time with them over the last few seasons.
The Steelers originally claimed Moon off waivers from the Baltimore Ravens at the end of the 2023 season and he spent the 2024 season with the team.
Moon appeared in 13 games in 2024 for the Steelers, starting one, and spent time on the Reserve/Injured List. He finished with two tackles on defense, as well as seven special teams tackles.
Moon was with the Steelers at the start of training camp this year, but later waived.
Moon originally signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft.
Moon spent his rookie season on the Ravens practice squad. In 2023, he spent time on the active roster and the practice squad, seeing playing time in eight games, with one start. He finished the 2023 season with 10 tackles, four of them solo stops, and a tackle for a loss. He added two special teams tackles and a forced fumble.
