The Steelers signed offensive lineman Brock Hoffman to a one-year contract.
Hoffman was originally signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft. He was added to the Browns practice squad but released midway through the season and signed by the Dallas Cowboys.
Hoffman has appeared in 54 games, starting 16, over four seasons, all with the Cowboys and has allowed just half a sack in his career. He has played both guard positions as well as center for Dallas.
In 2025, Hoffman appeared in 17 games, starting seven. The Cowboys offense was ranked second overall in the NFL, as well as second in passing and ninth in rushing. In addition, they were second in first downs per game and fourth in total yards per play.
He also appeared in 17 games in 2024, starting seven as well. He made all seven starts, filling in at right guard after Zack Martin was injured later in the season. In his first start of the season, the Cowboys had 332 total yards against the Washington Commanders. He also stepped in at center when Cooper Beebe was injured, and against the Cincinnati Bengals helped the offense put up 156 yards rushing.
Hoffman started the 2023 season on the Cowboys practice squad, but was elevated for the first three games, before being signed to the active roster for the remainder of the season. He appeared in all 17 games, while starting two, one at center and one at right guard.
Hoffman spent the second half of the 2022 season on the Cowboys practice squad, after his time with the Browns, and was elevated for three games, seeing action mainly on special teams. He also played in the Cowboys postseason game against San Francisco on special teams.
He began his college career at Coastal Carolina (2017-18), before transferring to Virginia Tech (2019-21). He started a total of 46 of the 47 games he appeared in during his college career and was named honorable mention All-ACC in 2021.
