Steelers make moves, sign three

The Steelers made multiple roster moves, signing defensive back Kam Alexander, long snapper Jake McQuaide and offensive tackle Julian Pearl.

Alexander originally signed with the Seattle Seahawks during training camp. He participated in rookie minicamp with the Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons after going undrafted.

Alexander played college football at Oregon for one season where he appeared in 11 games. He finished with four tackles, including three solo stops, and an interception. He began his college career at Sam Houston.

McQuaide has a long resume, beginning his career with the Los Angeles Rams where he spent 10 seasons (2011-20). He appeared in 160 games with the Rams and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2016 and 2017.

McQuaide also spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins, appearing in a total of 197 career games. He also spent time on the Chicago Bears practice squad.

McQuaide played college football at Ohio State.

Pearl originally signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 NFL Draft. He also spent time with the Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns.

Pearl played college football at Illinois where he was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2022 and 2023, starting 23 consecutive games to finish his career.

In a corresponding move, the team released defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko, receiver Roc Taylor and linebacker Devin Harper.
