Steelers make moves ahead of Sunday's game

The Steelers have been hit hard by injuries on the offensive line early in the season, with the second player in just a few days placed on the reserve/injured list.

Stefen Wisniewski, who started at right guard on Monday night against the New York Giants, was placed on the reserve/injured list after suffering a chest injury. Wisniewski signed with the team this offseason as an unrestricted free agent.

The team has promoted tackle Derwin Gray from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Grey signed a reserve/future contract at the end of the 2019 season after he spent the 2019 season on the Steelers' practice squad.

Gray was selected by the Steelers in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He played college football at Maryland where he appeared in 35 games, starting 25 of them, including starting 10 of 12 games at left tackle his redshirt senior season.
