Steelers bring back Williams

The Steelers brought back linebacker Vince Williams, signing him to a one-year contract.

The team terminated Williams' contract on March 16, but he is back in the black and gold.

In 14 games in 2020, Williams had 70 tackles, 47 of them solo stops, three sacks, 14 tackles for a loss and two fumble recoveries.

Williams played in 121 games, starting 69, in eight seasons with the team. He has 444 career tackles, 48 tackles for a loss, 43 quarterback hits, 20.5 sacks, five pass defenses, five fumble recoveries and two interceptions, one which he returned for a touchdown.

The team drafted Williams in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, the 206th pick overall.
