Steelers Announce FedEx Great Hall at Heinz Field

Heinz Field will have a new look this year as the Steelers have announced that in 2012 one of the staples of the stadium will now be called the FedEx Great Hall. The 10-year partnership is effective immediately.

"We are excited to have FedEx expand our partnership as the key sponsor of the Great Hall," Steelers President Art Rooney II said. "FedEx is one of the world's most respected brands. Given their commitment to the Steelers and the region, we are pleased to extend our partnership to include the FedEx Great Hall."

FedEx has a significant presence in Western Pennsylvania. FedEx Ground was founded in Pittsburgh, and there are more than 3,500 FedEx employees in the region.

The FedEx Great Hall, which also includes the Traveling Great Hall exhibit, includes historic memorabilia and showcases memories of the team's storied history. In addition, it houses the new Pub 33 and is part of the Heinz Field Tours along with the Pittsburgh Steelers "Walk of Fame."

The Steelers' TV shows such as Steelers Huddle and the McDonald's Steelers KidZone shows will be taped in the FedEx Great Hall, and it will also be home to various pre-game shows and entertainment on game days.

The FedEx Great Hall is a tribute to the history of the Steelers and runs the entire length of the east side of Heinz Field. It has been one of the most popular areas of the stadium since it was built in 2001.
