Five Fast Facts: Juan Thornhill

1. Thornhill was signed to a one-year contract during free agency. Thornhill, who is entering his seventh season in the NFL, has appeared in 87 games, starting 74. He has 335 career tackles, 232 of them solo stops, eight interceptions, including one returned for a 46-yard touchdown his rookie season, six tackles for a loss, one sack, 24 passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

2. Thornhill was a part of two Super Bowl Championship teams, Super Bowl LIV and LVII, with the Kansas City Chiefs.

3. Thornhill played college football at Virginia where he played in 46 games, starting 36. He finished his college career with 208 tackles, 140 of them solo stops, 26 passes defensed, 13 interceptions and one forced fumble.

4. Thornhill was inducted into the Altavista High School Hall of Fame in 2022. He played safety and quarterback and was named Group 1A VHSL State Player of the Year, Group 1A VHSL Quarterback of the Year and first-team VHSL All-State defense.

5. Thornhill returned to his hometown of Lynchburg, Virginia in 2023, where he threw out the first pitch at a Lynchburg Hillcats game. He also signed autographs and did a meet and greet with fans at the game
