Conner is Digest Player of the Week

JAMES CONNER
Running Back

CINCINNATI – It was the kind of performance the Steelers once could expect from Le'Veon Bell, but in 2018 it has been the kind of performance they have been getting from James Conner. For the second straight week and for the third time this season, Conner rushed for over 100 yards (111 on 19 carries for a 5.8 average), and he scored two rushing touchdowns in the first half. He also caught four passes for 18 yards to finish with 129 yards from scrimmage. This also marked Conner's third two-touchdown game of the season, and he now has scored seven of those.

Conner is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

Also considered were Ben Roethlisberger, who finished the game by completing 32-of-46 (69.6 percent) for 369 yards, with one touchdown, no interceptions, and a rating of 100.7. On the game-winning drive, Roethlisberger completed 4-of-7 for 72 yards and the 31-yard touchdown to Antonio Brown in bringing the Steelers 77 yards in seven plays that took only 68 seconds; Brown, who finished with five catches for 105 yards and the game-winning score; JuJu Smith-Schuster, who caught seven passes for 111 yards, plus a two-point conversion, and also recovered a fumble to save a drive that ended in a field goal; Vince Williams, who led the team with seven tackles and had a sack; Joe Haden, who lined up on A.J. Green for most of the game and had three tackles and broke up two passes; Javon Hargrave, who had five tackles and a sack; Stephon Tuitt, who had five tackles and a sack; and Vance McDonald, who caught seven passes for 68 yards.
