Brown AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

Steelers wide receiverAntonio Brown was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance versus the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 17, the NFL announced today.

Brown returned two punts for 84 yards (42.0 avg.), including a career-long 71-yard return for a touchdown. It marked his third career punt return for a touchdown, which is tied for the second most in team history. On the season Brown registered 30 punt returns for 319 yards and his 10.6 average per return ranked fourth in the AFC.

This marks the second time Brown has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week as he was honored in Week 12 of the 2011 season after returning a punt 60 yards for a touchdown vs. Cincinnati. Brown becomes the third Steelers player this season to win an AFC Player of the Week award as he joins Ben Roethlisberger (Weeks 8, 9) and Le'Veon Bell (Week 14), who each were named Offensive Player of the Week.
