Steelers sign Jordan Todman; Claim Caushaud Lyons

PITTSBURGH, Pa. ─ The Steelers signed running back Jordan Todman, who was released by the Carolina Panthers, the team announced today.

Todman was originally drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 6th round (183rd overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft, where he spent time on the practice squad. Todman has also spent time with the Minnesota Vikings (2012) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2012-14). During his tenure in the NFL, Todman has tallied 450 rushing yards on 111 carries.

To make room for Todman on the team's active roster, the Steelers have released cornerback Doran Grant.

Additionally, the Steelers have also claimed defensive end Caushaud Lyons from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. To make room on the roster, the Steelers waived linebacker Anthony Chickillo.
