Fun, family and football at Heinz Field

Family Fest: The Steelers are bringing practice to Heinz Field tonight, with the team's second-annual Family Fest. The team will practice at Heinz Field, but before they take the field there will be plenty of excitement.

Follow along throughout the evening for all of the fun, family and football.

Slimed: Nickelodeon, kicking off a summer celebration of play, joined the fun this year, bringing worldwide day of play events to Pittsburgh. Nick provided fun filled events that featured Nick themed games including a Super Slime obstacle course, Nick Bowling, a slime booth, costume characters and more.

And you know a slime booth wouldn't be complete, without someone getting it. JuJu Smith-Schuster was slimed before practice and Santonio Holmes, the MVP of Super Bowl XLIII, is taking one for the team too.

Meet and Greet: Steelers legends are part of the meet and greet photo opportunity with fans before practice begins from 5:30-6:30.

You can meet them at the following locations:

Larry Brown & Jon Kolb: Fed Ex Great Hall

Chris Hoke & Shaun Suisham: Ford Fan Zone

Mike Logan & Louis Lipps: West Main Concourse

Check out photos from the second annual Steelers Family Fest at Heinz Field.

Honoring America: The National Anthem will be sung by Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Charles Stoddard.

Let us entertain you: The Pittsburgh Steeline will provide plenty of entertainment for the fans, and will lead the Parade of Champions, which includes police and Special Olympians, including a torch bearer, and form a tunnel for the team for introductions.

Something special: Special Olympians were given early access to Heinz Field for an on field skills session conducted by Chris Hoke and Shaun Suisham, giving them the joy of competing on an NFL Field.

Shirts off their back: At the end of practice 90 fans, who were already selected as winners, will be brought onto the field, given the practice jersey of one of the players, and will have the opportunity to have it signed as the players leave the field.

Award Winners: Steelers Nation Unite will hold their annual SNU Awards before the start of practice, with Charlie Batch presenting awards to this year's winners.

Keeping you posted: Larry Richert will provide updates over the PA system, while Charlie Batch will join him during practice. During practice Tunch Ilkin and Craig Wolfley of the Steelers broadcast team will give fans commentary and analysis, as well as a pre-practice report. Tunch and Wolf will provide updates from the Ford Fan Zone, where they will be comfortably seated on furniture from Bob's Discount Furniture, which will then be donated to the Light of Life Rescue Mission.

Fun and Games: The Steelers Experience is on Art Rooney Avenue even before gates open, a place where fans enjoy fun and games before getting set for practice.
