Suisham Named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

Steelers kicker Shaun Suisham was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his clutch performance versus the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7.

Suisham was a perfect 4-for-4 (34, 28, 38, 42) on field goals in the 19-16 victory over the Ravens. His final field goal was a game-winning 42-yarder as time expired. It marked the eighth game-winning field goal of his career and sixth as a Steeler.

This marks the fourth time Suisham has been named Special Teams Player of the Week in his career. Suisham earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors twice in 2012 (vs. Philadelphia, Week 5 and at Baltimore, Week 13). Prior to that, Suisham was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week in Week 9 of the 2007 season when he was a member of the Washington Redskins.

Suisham has made 14-of-14 FGs this season. It is the first time in his career where he has made 14 consecutive field goals to start a season.
