PITTSBURGH — The Steelers added depth to their defensive line today as they signed veteran defensive end Orpheus Roye. Financial terms of the one-year deal were not disclosed.

Roye (6-4, 330) was originally drafted by the Steelers in the sixth round (200th overall) in the 1996 NFL Draft out of Florida State. He spent his first four seasons with Pittsburgh before signing with the Cleveland Browns in 2000. Roye played for the Browns through the 2007 season before being released earlier this year.

Roye has posted 360 career tackles, including 18.5 sacks.
