PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Steelers placed center Maurkice Pouncey **on the team’s Reserve/Injured; Designated For Return List, it was announced today.
The rule, adopted in 2012, permits Pouncey to return to practice after spending at least six weeks on the team’s Reserve/Injured List. The first game Pouncey is eligible to play in is the team’s Week Nine game vs. Oakland on November 8.
Pouncey injured his right leg in the team’s preaseason victory against Green Bay on August 23 at Heinz Field.
The Steelers signed center/guard Doug Legursky to take Pouncey’s spot on the roster. He will wear No. 64.
