Steelers partner to raise funds for youth sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers have joined with Trello Cioccolato to help local youth football and other sports organizations raise much needed funding with Steelers Youth Football branded chocolate bars.

Trello Cioccolato, located in Moon Township, will produce Steelers Youth Football branded candy bars. These delicious milk chocolate bars come packed in 30 count boxes for $45.  Suggested retail price of the individual bars is $3.00 per bar, which results in $45 profit for each box sold. Additional information on Trello Cioccolato is available by contacting Kimberly Dudash at (800) 222-6372 or sales@lords-international.com.

"The single biggest obstacle in running a youth football organization today is the lack of funding to provide the essential needs such as uniforms and equipment to the kids," said Steelers Youth Football/Marketing Manager Mike Marchinsky. "With the help of Trello Cioccolato, teams will now be able to do fun, Steelers'-themed fundraising projects to help ease the burden of those costs."

The program is one of several existing efforts designed to help generate funds for uniforms, insurance, field rental, equipment, and other costs associated with running a sports program.  Fundraising programs are currently offered in conjunction with the Steelers through USA Football (usafootball.com), which offers equipment grants, and the NFL Youth Football Fund Grassroots Grant (NFLYFF.org), which offers field grants.
