THE JAMES HARRISON FAMILY FOUNDATION PRESENTS:
The 1st Annual Brunch with Santa
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - (November 24, 2010) Heinz Field will be home to more than just our proud Black & Gold this holiday season. Steelers linebacker, James Harrison, has recently started a charity foundation benefiting children and families in need. The James Harrison Family Foundation will be hosting the 1st Annual Brunch with Santa at the Heinz Field West Club Lounge on December 18, 2010 from 10am to 1pm.
The event itself is a brunch with games and activities that are fun for the whole family. Evolution Industries will be taking family portraits with Santa and James Harrison. A donation of new, unwrapped toys, coats, gloves, etc will be humbly accepted and appreciated by the Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh.
Adding to the holiday spirit and cheer, there will be an autograph session by four current Pittsburgh Steelers, in which all four players will sign one item of the family's choice. Each of the 200 autograph session tickets will be available at a $40 donation. Other players will be making appearances as well.
Tickets for The James Harrison Family Foundation's Brunch with Santa are $25 for children 12 and under, and $50 for adults. To purchase tickets for this special holiday event, please visit www.jamesharrisonfamilyfoundation.org. Â
The James Harrison Family Foundation (JHFF) is a non-profit organization founded in November of 2010. Inspired by the tremendous outpouring of support from his fans and his love of children, James started the foundation in order to make a difference in peoples' lives when they need it the most. James plans to harness all of his resources to grow the JHFF into an organization that truly helps children and families, not only in emergency situations, but in ways that promote personal growth and development as well.Â
JHFF's mission is one of hope. James wants to spread hope through the promotion of the message that he has learned by living: NEVER GIVE UP! Don't give up on yourself, and don't give up on others. Whether this means providing comfort to children with terminal illnesses, children who have severe disabilities, or families in crisis, everyone can use hope and a helping hand. That is what James Harrison and everyone at the James Harrison Family Foundation believes and aims to provide: hope and a helping hand.
