Bell named AFC Offensive Player of the Week

Steelers running backLe'Veon Bell was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance versus the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 14, the NFL announced today.

Bell totaled 235 scrimmage yards (185 rushing, 50 receiving) with three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving) in the team's 42-21 victory over the Bengals. He became just the second player in league history to record at least 200 scrimmage yards in three straight games (Walter Payton, 1977). It marked Bell's fourth 100-yard rushing game of the year and the 11th time this season that he recorded at least 100 scrimmage yards in a game.

This marks the first time Bell has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week and the first time a Steelers running back earned the weekly honor since Rashard Mendenhall (Week 6, 2011)
