Mundy to chair Cancer Caring Center Walk

Steelers' safety Ryan Mundy will serve as the Honorary Co-Chair for the Cancer Caring Center's "Walk at the Waterfront" on Sunday, September 23 at the Waterfront's Town Square.

Mundy will host a lunch for the walk's top10 fundraisers during the offseason at the LeMont Restaurant on Mt. Washington.

"It's always good to get out in the community and help out, especially me being from Pittsburgh," said Mundy. "It takes on a little more meaning because I am from the city. I am living out my childhood dream in the city I am from here and to give back is special to me."

Steelers' fans who can't attend are still eligible to win all prizes by making donations if they are received by Oct. 23.

All proceeds from the walk benefit the Center's free services to cancer patients and families.  The Center is a Pittsburgh charity with no national office.

"I have been blessed to have a relatively healthy family, but that doesn't mean I can't help someone going through that situation," said Mundy.
