Semana 11 de la temporada regular de la NFL y no serå hasta este momento en el que los Pittsburgh Steelers tendrån su primer duelo divisional del año en contra de los Baltimore Ravens en el cual se disputarå la cima de la División Norte de la Conferencia Americana.
"Los enfrentaremos cuando el calendario nos lo diga, yo no tengo control sobre eso. Nuestra meta es derrotar a todos, pero especĂficamente semana a semana nos enfocamos en el rival correspondiente. No me importa mucho el calendario", fueron las palabras de Mike Tomlin en conferencia de prensa.
Los Steelers han ganado 4 partidos de manera consecutiva y han registrado 26+ puntos en cada uno de esos encuentros y los Ravens vienen de cuatro partidos consecutivos permitiendo mĂĄs de 29 puntos; y es que la defensiva de Baltimore ha tenido un muy mal año defendiendo el ataque aĂ©reo, permitiendo 101 de rating a sus quarterbacks rivales y vienen de un juego de mĂĄs de 400 yardas de Joe Burrow por pase y 4 anotaciones por aire. En el papel Jorgito Pickens, Mike Williams y compañĂa pueden tener una buena tarde el prĂłximo domingo.
Donde habrĂĄ que poner mucha atenciĂłn es en el pass rush de lo Ravens, ya que han registrado 31 capturas en 2024, cuarta mejor cifra de toda la NFL y Russell Wilson viene de de sufrir 3 sacks en el partido contra Commanders, la lĂnea ofensiva tendrĂĄ una tarea importantĂsima en detener la presiĂłn y ayudarle a Najee Harris y el cuerpo de corredores a abrir espacios contra una unidad frontal sĂłlida del equipo de Baltimore.
Parece obvio pero enfrentarse a Lamar Jackson siempre ha sido un reto importante y si a eso le sumamos a Derrick Henry la cosa se pone todavĂa mĂĄs brava. La ofensiva de los Ravens ha anotado 28+ puntos en siete de los Ășltimos ocho partidos. Por aire la situaciĂłn no es muy diferente, Lamar estĂĄ haciendo las cosas muy bien y llega tras un juego de casi 300 yardas aĂ©reas y 4 anotaciones.

Sabemos que la defensiva de los Steelers estĂĄ jugando a un nivel alto y que cuando se trata de presionar al quarterback tenemos al mejor en toda la NFL, pero T.J. Watt y compañĂa tendrĂĄn el mayor reto hasta el momento para presionar a Lamar Jackson, ya que la lĂnea ofensiva de los Ravens ha permitido solamente una captura en sus Ășltimos dos partidos y le han dado muchĂsimo tiempo a su QB para lanzar el balĂłn.
Dato de trivia, solamente George Halas y Curly Lambeau tienen mĂĄs enfrentamientos entre ellos que Mike Tomlin y John Harbaugh. Tomlin lidera la serie 20-15.
