Head Coach

Mike McCarthy
Head Coach
The Steelers made it official on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, introducing Mike McCarthy as their 17th head coach in team history. McCarthy becomes only the fourth head coach hired by the Steelers since 1969.
McCarthy brings 18 seasons of experience as a head coach in the NFL, 13 seasons with the Green Bay Packers (2006-18) and five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys (2020-24).
Offense

Brian Angelichio
Offensive Coordinator
Brian Angelichio is in his first season as the Steelers’ offensive coordinator in 2026. He most recently served as the tight ends coach/passing game coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings for four years.
With three decades of coaching experience across the collegiate and professional ranks, Angelichio will enter his 15th NFL season. In addition to his tenure in Minnesota (2022-25), he previously served as tight ends coach with Carolina (2020-21), Washington (2019), Green Bay (2016-18), Cleveland (2014-15) and Tampa Bay (2012-13).
Defense

Patrick Graham
Defensive Coordinator
Patrick Graham spent the last four seasons as the Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator, his 17th year coaching in the NFL.
During his NFL coaching career, Graham has held a variety of defensive roles with the New England Patriots (2009-15), New York Giants (2016-17, 2020-21), Green Bay Packers (2018), Miami Dolphins (2019) and Raiders (2022-25). He has been a defensive coordinator each of the last seven years, including also holding the title of assistant head coach with the Giants from 2020-21.

Danny Crossman
Special Teams Coordinator
Danny Crossman is in his first season as the Steelers’ special teams coordinator in 2026. This season marks his 23rd in the League. Previously, Crossman spent the last six seasons with the Dolphins. He joined the organization in 2019 as a special teams coordinator. He also served as assistant head coach in 2021.
The 2026 season marks Crossman’s 33rd coaching special teams. He has been a special teams coordinator for the following NFL organizations previously: Carolina (2005-09), Detroit (2010-12), Buffalo (2013-18), and Miami (2019-2024).
Chief of Staff

Steve Scarnecchia
Chief of Staff
Steve Scarnecchia will enter his 17th season in the NFL, including his sixth as chief of staff and first in the role with the Steelers in 2026.
Scarnecchia has served as chief of staff in each of the past five seasons, with stops in both Atlanta (2024-25) and N.Y. Jets (2021-23). Scarnecchia also served as assistant to the head coach for the Falcons from 2015-20.
