Justus Galac is in his third season as the Steelers' assistant strength and conditioning coach and his fourth overall season with the franchise in 2026. He was a seasonal assistant strength and conditioning coach for Pittsburgh in 2021.
     Galac came to the Steelers after one season with the XFL (2023) and one season at Temple (2022). In both seasons, he served in strength and conditioning roles.Â
     Galac spent nine seasons with the N.Y. Jets (2012-20), including eight as their head strength and conditioning coach. He was responsible for the design and implementation of a strength and conditioning program for both in and off-season training. Galac created a nutrition and hydration plan, rehabilitated injured players, tracked GPS and heart rates and oversaw inventory and maintenance of all strength equipment.
     Prior to his tenure with the Jets, Galac served as the strength and conditioning coach for the Villanova football program for seven seasons (2005-11), including 2009 when the Wildcats captured the FCS National Championship. He earned recognition as the 2010 Samson FCS Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year. Galac also oversaw the strength and conditioning program for all 22 Villanova varsity sports.
     Galac, who was a graduate assistant at Dickinson College for two years (2003-04), began his coaching career at his alma mater SUNY Brockport in 2002.
     Galac played nose tackle and helped SUNY Brockport to a pair of NCAA playoff appearances in 2000 and 2001. He received his undergraduate degree in physical education in 2003.
     Galac and his wife, Lauren, have two daughters, Vivienne and Valentina, and a son, Kane.
