The Steelers head into Monday night's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium with a few question marks on the offensive line. Guard David DeCastro and tackle Marcus Gilbert are both listed as doubtful for the primetime game.
DeCastro suffered a hand injury in the season opener against the Browns, and while he finished the game he missed last week's game against the Chiefs. DeCastro, who missed practice all week, would be replaced by B.J. Finney if he can't go.
Gilbert missed practice on Thursday and Friday with a hamstring injury suffered against the Chiefs, and on Saturday he was limited.
"I went through casual practice and got reps in here and there," said Gilbert. "I will see where I am Monday before the game and see how I feel."
If he can't go it would be Matt Feiler who would make his first start at tackle. Feiler started last year against the Browns at guard, but only played in one game at tackle in his NFL career, last year against the Lions late in the game.
Feiler did play tackle in college, and he is ready to go if needed.
"It's just something you have to be ready for at all times," said Feiler. "If they call my number, they call my number. I have to be ready to play.
"You have to prepare the best you can and practice like you are playing. I keep working the craft. I feel pretty comfortable. I have been getting reps all week. It's like riding a bike almost. I played tackle in college and I have played mostly and mainly guard, but it's something I can always do."
Morgan Burnett (groin) was limited on Thursday and didn't practice on Friday or Saturday and he too is listed as doubtful.
Joe Haden was a full participant in practice all week with his sights set on playing Monday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Haden missed last week's game against the Chiefs with a hamstring injury and said the extra week is beneficial to him.
"It feels a whole lot better," said Haden. "This week it feels a whole lot better. We are progressing.
"It's terrible when you aren't out there. I always want to be out there with my dudes. But we have a long season ahead of us. I'd rather it happened now than later. I want to be out there doing whatever I can to help us get in the win column."
Tyson Alualu, who missed the Chiefs game with a shoulder injury, was a full participant all week, as was Ramon Foster (knee). Stephon Tuitt missed practice on Friday with an illness, but was a full participant on Saturday.
