Week 3 Injury Report (Bengals)

The Steelers will be without linebacker T,J. Watt on Sunday. Watt was downgraded to out on Saturday after suffering a going injury against the Raiders last week. He was limited in practice all week.

At least it looks like the Steelers will have Ben Roethlisberger starting at quarterback when the Cincinnati Bengals visit Heinz Field for a 1 p.m. game on Sunday.

Last Tuesday during his weekly news conference at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex when Coach Mike Tomlin revealed the team's injury report for the start of the week, there were eight names on it. When the Steelers released their status report on Friday for the game, the number of names on that list was halved.

Defensive lineman Carlos Davis (knee), outside linebacker Alex Highsmith (groin), and wide receiver Diontae Johnson (knee) did not practice at all during the week, and all three were ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Bengals.

All of the other players who started the week on the injury report, including Roethlisberger (pectoral), cornerback Joe Haden (groin), linebacker Marcus Allen (abdomen), cornerback Justin Layne (Achilles), and Devin Bush (groin) were full participants in Friday's practice and were not listed on the status report, which means they are probable for Sunday's game.

Roethlisberger did not practice on Wednesday and was limited on Thursday; Haden was limited on Wednesday and a full participant on Thursday; Allen was added to the injury report on Thursday and did not practice that day; Layne was limited on Wednesday and didn't practice on Thursday; and Bush was a full participant all week.
