Steelers sign Banner

The Steelers have signed free agent offensive lineman Zach Banner to a one-year contract, the team announced today. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Banner, a fourth-round (137th overall) draft selection of the Indianapolis Colts in 2017, spent his rookie season with the Cleveland Browns, appearing in eight games. The University of Southern California product joined the Carolina Panthers on March 16, 2018, before being released on May 31. Banner will wear No. 69.

To make room on the 90-man roster, the Steelers waived/injured offensive lineman Kyle Meadows.
