Steelers Challenge Kids To Play Like The Pros

The Steelers will host the Gatorade Junior Training Camp on Friday, July 31, prior to the team's night practice at Latrobe Memorial Stadium. The camp will run from 3-5 p.m. at the Latrobe Parks and Recreation Field, which is adjacent to Memorial Stadium.

The camp is free to all children between the ages of 6-14, and they will participate in non-contact drills and will receive pep talks to show them that there is much more to playing football than just having the right moves. Admission for the participant and one parent to the night practice is also included in registration for the camp.

The program emphasizes friendly competition over winning and teaches important values that can be learned from playing sports including responsibility, teamwork and sportsmanship. The camp also highlights basic health and fitness training for active youth and the importance of the proper nutrition while playing sports.

The session is limited to 200 participants. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and is expected to fill-up quickly.

To register, log on to www.steelers.com. Fans can call 412-697-7713 for more information.
