LATROBE, Pa. – It was a moment when he thought the worst, when a knee injury suffered in practice last week looked like it could be a serious, even season-ending, injury for safety Rob Golden.

But with the team back at camp, Golden is thankful that it wasn't as serious as feared and he is already on the road to recovery without any surgery necessary.

"It's definitely a blessing," said Golden. "The outcome could have been worse. The Lord was on my side and I am able to bounce back this season.

"I am taking it day by day. I am feeling pretty good, feeling better every day. I am definitely blessed, for sure."

Golden said he will rely on the team's athletic trainers for how soon he will be back at practice, but he is looking forward to testing out the knee as soon as possible.

"Whenever I can," said Golden. "I am going to leave that up to the trainers. I am getting better every day. Whenever they say we can go out there and try, I am going to go out there and do it."
