Anchor on the offensive line as he started all 13 games…started every game for the third consecutive year at left tackle…helped block for a rushing attack that averaged 157 yards per game and 19 touchdowns…helped block for quarterback Jonathan Crompton to throw for more than 215 yards per game…helped block for an offense that averaged 383 yards per game…a key part in an offensive line that only allowed 18 sacks in 13 games.
Started every game for second consecutive year...reached streak of 26 consecutive starts by season's end...versatile lineman has 18 of those starts at left tackle after beginning Vols career at right guard...Vols saved their best offensive line work for last in 2008, rushing 51 times for 222 yards at Vandy and another 53 times for 210 yards against Kentucky in pair of wins...part of Vols offensive line in 2007 that led nation with only four sacks allowed.

Parade All-America and second-team All-USA selection by USA Today...played for East squad in U.S. Army All-American Bowl...two-time All-State choice by Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which named him to its Super Southern 100 team...Orlando Sentinel All-Southern honoree...twice named All-Region and All-Area and was junior All-America by Rivals.com in 2003...during senior year, finished with 58 pancake blocks and 90 percent blocking grade...allowed no sacks that year...three-season starter on offensive line...played defensive tackle in goal line situations...also competed in track and field, firing 54-0 shot put toss.
