Steelers will have the 24th overall pick

The 2021 NFL Draft will be held April 29-May 1 in Cleveland, Ohio, and the Steelers now know where they will select in the first round.

The team will have the 24th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, with eight teams still waiting for their draft order to be determined based on the remainder of the postseason.

This will be the fifth time the team has had the 24th overall pick in the first round, with guard David DeCastro selected out of Stanford with the 24th pick in 2012. In 1997 the Steelers selected cornerback Chad Scott from Maryland with the 24th pick, while in 1989 tackle Tom Ricketts from Pittsburgh was selected with the 24th pick when the Steelers had two picks in the first round that year. The team also selected defensive back J.T. Thomas from Florida State with the 24th pick in 1973.
