Banner, Watt to co-captain Rock Steelers Style

Rock Steelers Style, the team's annual fashion show that will be presented by Neighborhood Ford Store, PNC Bank, UPMC and UPMC Health Plan, will once again be an event fans can enjoy from the comfort of their own home.

This year's show, Steelers Nation Rocks Steelers Style, will be held virtually on Friday, Nov. 5, at 8 p.m. and streamed on the team's digital and social media channels, including Steelers.com, the Steelers' official mobile app and the Steelers' Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages.

While the show will be virtual, there will be plenty of action and a ton of fashion coming your way from Steelers players past and present, including the two co-captains of the event who were just announced, linebacker T.J. Watt and offensive tackle Zach Banner.

"It's a lot of fun. I think a lot of guys get really into it," said Watt. "I think a lot of guys have great fashion sense. I am not one of those guys. I hope I can put something together. I know my fiancée is looking forward to it too. This will be the first year she is going to be able to take part. It will be a good time.

"Anytime we have fun at an event like this, we have to remember that it's about giving back and helping others and giving back. That is what I love so much about this organization. It's so much deeper than just football. It's about helping as many charities as we can."

Rock Steelers Style, which will be co-chaired by Art and Greta Rooney and Mike and Kiya Tomlin, benefits the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program, Cancer Bridges and the Chuck Noll Foundation.

"I am really excited. It's always fun," said Banner. "It's for a good cause and it's always fun. You have to be creative in creating the environment of philanthropy and giving back. Unfortunately, people want to be entertained when they talk about giving back, and this is a good way to do it."

Fans can also get involved with the Rock Steelers Style charity auction, which kicks off on Friday, Oct. 29 on steelers.com and runs through Friday, Nov. 12. The auction includes signed items from former and current Steelers players, paintings of Steelers Nation Rocks Steelers Style 2021 co-captains T.J. Watt and Zach Banner by local Pittsburgh artist Cody Sabol, a signed Jerome Bettis replica jersey, a game-worn Donnie Shell jersey, a $2,000 Steelers Pro Shop Shopping Trip and many more.
