POST-GAME NOTES

Pittsburgh Team Notes:
• Pittsburgh improved to 17-11 all-time against the Ravens, including a 10-4 record at home.
• The Steelers posted their third straight regular-season win against Baltimore at Heinz Field.
• Pittsburgh finished the season 6-2 at Heinz Field, marking the third straight year with at least six home wins.
• Head coach Mike Tomlinimproved to 13-5 all-time against teams in the AFC North.
• Pittsburgh broke the team's single-season attendance record as it finished the year with 507,882 fans in eight home games, an average of 63,458. The previous record was set in 1995 (507,434 total fans for an average of 63,429).
• Following LB James Farrior's first interception of the season, K Jeff Reedgave Pittsburgh a 3-0 lead with 9:21 left in the first quarter on a 26-yard field goal.
• Baltimore responded on the ensuing drive and tied the game at 3-3 on a 27-yard field goal by K Billy Cundiff.
• The Steelers regained the lead 6-3 with 1:09 left in the first quarter on a 39-yard field goal by Reed. The drive was set up by a 49-yard kickoff return by WR Stefan Logan, who broke team's single-season record for kickoff return yards on the return.
• Pittsburgh upped its lead to 13-3 with 12:52 left in the first half as RB Rashard Mendenhallscored from four yards out, his seventh rushing touchdown of the season. On the four-yard touchdown run, Mendenhall eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for rushing on the season, becoming just the seventh different running back in team history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season.
• The Ravens trimmed the lead to 13-10 as QB Joe Flacco hit TE Todd Heap for a 30-yard touchdown with 9:55 remaining in the second quarter.
WR Santonio Holmescaught a 24-yard touchdown pass from QB Ben Roethlisbergerwith 35 seconds remaining in the first half to make it 20-10. WR Mike Wallacehad a 45-yard catch on the 94-yard drive.
• Heap hauled in a seven-yard touchdown from Flacco on the Ravens' first drive of the second half to cut the lead to 20-17.
• Following a Roethlisberger interception, the Ravens' tied the game at 20-20 as Cundiff booted a 35-yard field goal with 6:16 left in the third quarter.
• Reed kicked a 38-yard field goal with 5:25 left in the game to make it the eventual final score of 23-20.
• Pittsburgh was outgained 323-286 in total yardage, including 175-48 on the ground.
• The Steelers had 17 first downs to the Ravens' 20.
• Baltimore was penalized 11 times for 113 yards while the Steelers were flagged four times for 20 yards.
• Pittsburgh held the ball for 27:27 to Ravens' 32:33.
• The Steelers posted four sacks, including two by LB LaMarr Woodleyand one each by CB Ike Taylorand rookie DE Ziggy Hood. Baltimore had four sacks as well.
• Pittsburgh's streak of 32 straight regular-season games without allowing a 100-yard rusher was snapped as RB Ray Rice posted 141 yards rushing against the Steelers' defense.
• For the first time in team history, the Steelers have a 4,000-yard passer (Roethlisberger - 4,108), 1,000-yard rusher (Mendenhall - 1,014) and two 1,000-yard receivers (Holmes - 1,243, WR Hines Ward- 1,106).
• For the first time in team history, the Steelers have three receivers with at least 70 receptions (Ward - 87, Holmes - 78, TE Heath Miller- 71).
QB Charlie Batch (3rd QB), CB Keenan Lewis, FB Carey Davis, S Troy Polamalu, OG Kraig Urbik, OG Chris Kemoeatu, DE Sunny Harris and WR Joey Gallowaywere inactive for the Steelers.
 
Pittsburgh Individual Notes:
QB Ben Roethlisberger
• Finished 17-of-33 for 259 yards with one touchdown and one interception (75.2 passer rating).
• Became the first quarterback in team history to eclipse the 4,000-yard passing mark in a single season as he now as 4,108 passing yards in 2009.
• Tossed a 24-yard touchdown pass to WR Santonio Holmes in the second quarter.
• Improved to 24-7 as a starter against AFC North opponents.
• Improved to 59-26 all-time as a starter.
• Improved to 34-10 at home as a starter.
• Posted his second consecutive fourth-quarter/overtime game-winning drive, giving him three for the season and 20 for his career in the regular season.
 
RB Rashard Mendenhall
• Finished with 36 yards rushing on 17 carries (2.1 avg.) with one touchdown.
• Eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing for the first time in his career (1,014). He became just the seventh different running back in team history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season.
• Scored from four yards out in the second quarter, his team-leading seventh rushing touchdown of the season.
 
WR Hines Ward
• Finished with four catches for 37 yards (9.3 avg.), including a long of 13 yards.
• Has now caught a pass in a team-record 177 consecutive games, tying Steve Largent for sixth on the NFL's all-time list for consecutive regular-season games with at least one reception.
 
WR Santonio Holmes
• Finished with a team-high five catches for 86 yards (17.2 avg.) with one touchdown.
• Hauled in a 24-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter, his fourth receiving touchdown of the season.
 
WR Mike Wallace
• Finished with 83 yards receiving on three catches (27.7 avg.). His 83 yards receiving are the second-highest total for his career (102 at Cincinnati, Week 3).
• Hauled in a 45-yard catch on the Steelers' scoring drive late in the first half.
 
WR Tyler Grisham
• Had a 14-yard reception in the fourth quarter, the first of his career.
 
WR Stefan Logan
• Has 1,383 kickoff return yards on the season, breaking the team's single-season record of 1,306 kickoff return yards set by Ernie Mills in 1995.
• Had a 49-yard kickoff return in the first quarter, his third-longest kickoff return of the season.
• Finished with four kickoff returns for 129 yards (32.3 avg.).
 
DE Ziggy Hood
• Posted his first career sack (two-yard loss) in the fourth quarter.
• Also added his first career fumble recovery in the fourth quarter.
 
LB James Harrison
• Forced his fifth fumble of the season, which ranks fifth (tied) on the team's single-season list.
• Finished with five tackles (four solo).
 
LB James Farrior
• Posted his 11th career interception (18-yard return) on the Ravens' first drive of the game. It was his eighth career interception with the Steelers (three with NY Jets) and the first for him this season.
• Finished with a game-high 10 tackles (seven solo) with one forced fumble and one interception.
 
LB LaMarr Woodley
• Posted a three-yard sack in the fourth quarter.
• Added a five-yard sack later in the fourth quarter, giving him a team-best 11.5 sacks on the year, tying his career-high from 2008.
• Marks his seventh straight game with at least a half-sack, breaking the team's previous record of six held by Greg Lloyd in 1994.
• Forced his first fumble of the season in the fourth quarter.
 
CB Deshea Townsend
• Made his first start of the season at CB, the 81st of his career.
• Finished with seven tackles (six solo).
 
CB Ike Taylor
• Recovered his second fumble of the season on a forced fumble by LB James Harrison.
• Posted an eight-yard sack in the second quarter, the first sack of his career.
• Finished with two tackles.
 
K Jeff Reed
• Finished 3-for-3 in FGs and 2-for-2 in PATs for 11 points, moving him over 100 points on the season (110) for the seventh straight season.
• Booted a 26-yard and 39-yard field in the first quarter.
• Added a 38-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
