Steelers preseason games to be available in Ireland on Virgin

The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced today that they are extending their existing broadcast partnership with Virgin Media Television ( VMTV) for the 2025 NFL season, delivering an exciting lineup of content including

  • All three Steelers preseason games
  • The return of "The Mike Tomlin Show", featuring weekly exclusive insights from the Steelers' head coach

Irish audiences can tune into Virgin Media Television from this coming weekend for the Steelers pre-season matches including:

  • Pittsburgh Steelers v Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Saturday 16th of August, 11:30pm

This media presence comes as the Steelers prepare for a highly anticipated game in Dublin this September, where they will host an international matchup clash against the Minnesota Vikings on September 28th, that is expected to draw thousands of fans from across Ireland and the U.S. The event marks a major milestone in the Steelers' commitment to growing their international footprint and connecting with their passionate Irish fanbase.

Dan Rooney, Vice President of Business Development and Strategy, Pittsburgh Steelers said:

"The Steelers are excited to be partnering once again with Virgin Media to offer official team programming in Ireland. This will allow us to connect with the growing number of Steelers fans in Ireland by giving them more opportunities to stay engaged with the team before, during and after the Dublin Game in September."

Brian Gleeson, Head of Sport at Virgin Media Television, said: "We're thrilled to extend our partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers, bringing premium team content to Virgin Media audiences. From preseason matchups to The Mike Tomlin Show, fans will enjoy unparalleled access to one of the NFL's most storied franchises. With the Steelers set to take the field at Croke Park this September, it's the perfect time for Irish fans to get familiar with this year's roster and build excitement ahead of their Dublin debut."
