The Steelers' schedule for the 2025 season was released by the NFL on Wednesday night and looks much different from the team's 2024 slate of games.
Unlike the 2024 schedule, one in which the Steelers didn't play an AFC North opponent until Week 11 and also saw them play three games in an 11-day span, including on Christmas Day, this season's schedule sprinkles the AFC North games throughout the slate and also has the Steelers playing just once on a short week.
That game comes because of a Thursday night game in Cincinnati in Week 7, four days after playing the Browns, and is unavoidable since all NFL teams must play at least one Thursday night game over the course of the season.
That Week 6 game against the Browns at Acrisure Stadium comes after the Steelers' bye in Week 5 coming off the team's first international game since 2013 when it hosts the Vikings in Dublin Sept. 28.
The Steelers open the season against the Jets in New York in what will be the start of the Aaron Glenn era. Glenn, former Lions defensive coordinator, was hired by the Jets as their new head coach in the offseason.
The Steelers and Jets also played in 2024 at Acrisure Stadium, with Pittsburgh winning the game, 37-15. The Steelers are 21-7 overall against the Jets, including 10-5 in road games.
The Steelers host the Seahawks in their home opener in Week 2, Sept. 14. The Steelers are 9-3 against the Seahawks in Pittsburgh, including beating Seattle, 23-20, in overtime in their last meeting in 2021.
Week 3 sends the Steelers to New England to face new head coach Mike Vrabel. The Steelers have lost their past four trips to New England, with their last win coming in the 2008 season. Overall, they are 4-7 all-time on the road against the Patriots.
The Steelers and Vikings will play the NFL's first regular season game in Ireland in Week 4. It will mark the Steelers' first international game since they played in London in 2013, coincidentally also against the Vikings. Minnesota won that game, 34-27.
Following their AFC North games against the Browns and Bengals coming out of their bye week, the Steelers host the Packers in Week 8 in a Sunday night game Oct. 26.
The Steelers and Packers last met at Acrisure Stadium in 2023, with the Steelers winning, 23-19. The Steelers have won their past six meetings with Green Bay in Pittsburgh and are 9-7 overall at home against the Packers.
In Week 9, the Colts come to Pittsburgh on Nov. 2 to kick off the second half of the schedule. The Steelers are 17-2 in their history against the Colts in Pittsburgh and haven't lost a home game to Indianapolis since 2008, winning the past four meetings at Acrisure Stadium.
Week 10 sends the Steelers to Los Angeles to face the Chargers in another Sunday night contest. The Steelers have faced the Chargers 16 times on the road, winning nine of those games. But the Chargers won the last meeting, beating the Steelers, 41-37, in a shootout in 2021.
The Steelers host the Bengals on Nov. 16 for a 1 p.m. game in their second meeting with Cincinnati. The Steelers have won 15 of their past 20 meetings with Cincinnati, though the two teams split their games in 2024, with Pittsburgh winning in Cincinnati and the Bengals returning the favor in a Week 18 game.
On Nov. 23, the Steelers travel to Chicago, a place where they haven't had a lot of success. The Steelers are just 1-12 in their history in Chicago, with the only win coming in overtime, 37-34, in 1995. They have lost all three games they have played in Chicago since, including 23-17 in 2017, their last trip to Soldier Field.
The Steelers return home in Week 13 to host the Bills Nov. 30. Though the two franchises have met five times in the past seven seasons, including once in the playoffs, this will mark Buffalo's first trip to Pittsburgh since the 2019 season, a game the Bills won, 17-10.
Overall, the Steelers are 10-3 against Buffalo in Pittsburgh, winning six of the past seven meetings dating back to a 1993 playoff game.

The Steelers follow up that game with the first of their two meetings against the Ravens in Week 14, this one coming in Baltimore where Pittsburgh saw its 2024 season come to a close with a 28-14 loss in the playoffs.
They then host Miami in Week 15 in their only scheduled Monday night football game on Dec. 15. The Steelers are 9-4 against Miami in Pittsburgh, with their last meeting here being a 27-14 win during the 2019 season.
Week 16 sends the Steelers to Detroit to face the Lions in a 4:30 p.m. game. The Lions are 12-6 against the Steelers in Detroit, but Pittsburgh has won the past two meetings and three of the past four games, the most recent coming in 2017.
The Steelers are at Cleveland Dec. 28 to finish off their home-and-home series against the Browns. The Steelers lead the all-time series, 82-64-1.
The regular season will finish up in Week 18 against the Ravens at Acrisure Stadium. The Steelers lead the all-time series, 36-27, and have won four of the past five meetings in Pittsburgh, where they hold a 21-12 advantage overall.
