WATCH: 2025 Powering Pittsburgh Championships

At our annual Steelers STEM Powering Pittsburgh Championships, students showcased innovative concepts to power the city of Pittsburgh and Acrisure Stadium. The top three teams earned monetary donations to enhance STEM learning initiatives at their schools, thanks to the support of our program's partners.

Our STEM program supported students all across Western Pennsylvania this school year, empowering them to explore the fields of STEM in an interactive and engaging way. Thanks to our partners – FedEx, Shell Polymers, and U. S. Steel – for their continued support in helping us forge Pittsburgh's future leaders!

As part of our Steelers STEM education program, we held the annual Powering Pittsburgh Championships at Acrisure Stadium in November. High school students presented concepts to tackle real-world environmental issues that exist across Western Pennsylvania. The competition's top three teams received a monetary donation to their school's STEM program, thanks to the support of FedEx, Shell Polymers and U. S. Steel.

As part of our Steelers STEM program, we hosted the annual powering Pittsburgh Championships at Acrisure Stadium in November. Students from across Western Pennsylvania proposed concepts to power the city of Pittsburgh and Acrisure Stadium in ways that are energy efficient, environmentally sound, and economically viable.

This school year, our Steelers STEM education program once again supported nearly 70 middle schools and impacted over 5,000 students across Western PA. Thanks to our partners – FedEx, Shell Polymers, and U. S. Steel – for another great school year!
