Sixth-round cornerback brings size and versatility

What to like about Ryan Watts:

WHERE HE'S FROM: Lee is a native of Little Elm, Texas, and played cornerback, safety and wide receiver in high school. He spent his first two college seasons at Ohio State and his last two at Texas.

WHAT HE'S DONE: Lee, 6-foot-3 and 208 pounds, played in seven games as a freshman in 2020 and tied for the Buckeyes' team lead with two interceptions in 2021. He earned Honorable Mention All-Big XII honors after transferring to Texas in 2022. Lee emphasized his experience playing a variety of special teams roles in all four of his collegiate seasons and considers himself position-flexible enough to play cornerback, nickel cornerback or safety in the NFL. His impressive testing at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis included a vertical leap of 40.5," a broad jump of 10'5" and a 4.53-second 40-yard dash.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "I was in a formal (meeting) with the Steelers and I really had the whole room laughing with some stuff I said. But I feel like it was all cool people and I felt like I was able to be myself and they accepted me for who I was." _ Watts on the "3rd and Longhorn" podcast on which pre-draft interview with an NFL team was his most enjoyable.
