The Steelers could have former first-round pick Broderick Jones healthy for the 2026 season, according to general manager Omar Khan.
"Broderick's starting to do more and more," Khan said from the NFL Annual League Meeting in Phoenix. "I talked to him a couple times over the last couple weeks. He's in a good place and ready to work hard and do whatever he can to be ready to go."
Jones, a three-year starter who was moved to left tackle last season, started 11 games for the Steelers before injuring his neck in the fourth quarter of the game against the Chicago Bears.
Jones was attempting to help quarterback Mason Rudolph evade a sack during a touchdown drive when he was hurt. He left the game and was replaced by Calvin Anderson, who has since been released by the team.
Andrus Peat started the following two games, and Dylan Cook started the final four regular-season games and then the playoff game.
Counting the loss against the Bears, and the playoff game, the Steelers went 4-4 after Jones' injury.
