Hilton signed to extension

The Steelers have signed cornerback Mike Hilton to a one-year contract extension, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Hilton appeared in all 16 regular season games with four starts in 2017, recording 54 tackles (42 solo), 4.0 sacks, two interceptions, 10 tackles for losses, eight quarterback hits and six passes defensed.

He was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance at the Houston Texans on December 25, where he totaled six tackles, including 3.0 sacks and a forced fumble.

The Steelers also announced that they signed four players to Reserve/Future contracts. Each of the team's signings consist of players who spent time on the Steelers' practice squad in 2017, including defensive end Lavon Hooks, linebacker Keith Kelsey and wide receivers Justin Thomas and Marcus Tucker.
