A black and gold surprise

Tom Smith went on Ford's website earlier this year, simply looking for a part for his truck.

On Sunday, he walked away with a whole lot more.

Smith, who is from Pulaski, Pa., was presented the keys to a black 2017 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew 4x4 truck, completely wrapped in Steelers colors and logos.

Smith was the winner of a contest run by the Steelers and Neighborhood Ford Store and said when he got the call telling him he was a winner, he didn't believe it. "I couldn't believe it," said Smith. "I thought it was a scam or something like that. I was stone shocked by it. It's crazy. It's hard to believe."

While looking online for the car part, Smith entered the contest for the truck. And then he completely forgot about it. Until he got the phone call telling him he was the winner.

"It's amazing," said Smith. "Geez, it's incredible the Steelers and Ford do something like this. To get the truck, it's unbelievable. It's going to be an attention grabber for sure. It's going to be nice."

Smith was presented the keys prior to the Steelers-Browns game at Heinz Field, the first time he ever attended an NFL game.

"I rooted for the Steelers back to the Terry Bradshaw and Jerome Bettis times. Way back when," said Smith, who is originally from New York. "This is as exciting, being at the game. I have never been to a football game. I went to a few baseball games in New York, but I have never been to a football game. It's really exciting. I am nervous beyond belief. I don't know what to do. I have never won anything."

The truck giveaway has become a fun tradition for the final regular season game, built on the relationship the Steelers and Neighborhood Ford Store has established. "This is the seventh season Neighborhood Ford Store has been a Steelers sponsor, and this is the sixth Official Truck of the Pittsburgh Steelers we've given away in the Toughest Truck, Toughest Team Sweepstakes," said Joseph Thurby, Chairman, Neighborhood Ford Store. "Each season, Neighborhood Ford Store has been thrilled to see our relationship with the Steelers grow. This year especially, we've been pleased to work with Kiya Tomlin to support Rock Steelers Style and Rocky Bleier for Presents For Veterans. And there's no doubt Steelers Fans know the place to meet at Heinz Field is the Ford Fan Zone."
