Wallace is Digest Player of Week

MIKE WALLACEWide Receiver

Sometimes he found himself on Revis Island and sometimes he didn't, but Mike Wallace didn't let All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis intimidate him.

Wallace finished with seven catches for a team-high 102 yards, and his play helped the Steelers convert 11-of-17 (65 percent) on third downs. Wallace's 18-yard catch converted a third-and-10 on the final possession and brought the ball to the Jets 26-yard line. Wallace now has 53 catches for 1,048 yards, which is good for a 19.8 average, and it clinched the first 1,000-yard receiving season for him in just his second year in the league.

Mike Wallace is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

Also considered were Rashard Mendenhall, who rushed for 100 yards on 17 carries (5.9 average) and scored a touchdown on a 2-yard run; Emmanuel Sanders, who had seven catches for 78 yards and converted a third-and-24 on the final possession; and James Harrison, who had 10 tackles and a pressure that forced an incomplete pass.
