MIKE TOMLIN of the Pittsburgh Steelers is theMOTOROLA NFL COACH OF THE WEEKfor games played on November 2 - 3, the NFL announced today. 
 
Mike Tomlin led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 23 - 6 win over the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field on Monday Night Football. After falling 0 - 2 to NFC East teams this season, Tomlin developed a game plan that delivered a victory. Tomlin used both starting QB Ben Roethlisberger and backup QB Byron Leftwich, who combined to lead an offense that controlled the clock for more than 30 minutes and put up points in each of the final three quarters. The Steelers defense forced two interceptions, totaled seven sacks, and limited Redskins RB Clinton Portis to only 51 rushing yards. Pittsburgh's defense shut out the Redskins in the final three quarters.
 
Tomlin was selected as Motorola NFL Coach of the Week from among three finalists by voters on NFL.com. The other finalists were head coaches
TOM COUGHLIN of the New York Giants andMARVIN LEWIS of the Cincinnati Bengals.
 
In January, voting will be held on NFL.com to determine the Motorola NFL Coach of the Year.
