The upcoming episode of 'The Standard' will air on all Steelers Digital platforms on Thursday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m., and feature a wide variety of topics.
The design of the team's 1933 Throwback Uniforms, which they wore against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football, will get an in-depth look.
The uniform pays tribute not just to the 1933 team and where it all began for the Steelers, but also to the City of Pittsburgh and the rich legacy it holds.
The gold throwback jersey features black stripes, with large white block letters trimmed in black on the front. The front also prominently features the City of Pittsburgh crest on the left shoulder to honor the team's connection to the city, while on the back of the jersey are large black block numbers.
The helmet features a gold matte finish with a gray facemask and a black stripe down the middle, while the players completed the look with beige uniform pants.
The episode also highlights the Steelers tight end group, a diverse unit that can contribute to the offense, and special teams, in numerous ways.
"Today's NFL tight end, I always kid and say it's the best position in football because they are allowed to do so many different things," said tight ends coach Alfredo Roberts. "They have a chance to be an in-line blocker, if they have the skillset to play in the backfield, along with being flexed out and being part of the passing game as a receiver type, along with being a pass protector.
"Week-to-week, we have to find a way to get all those skills worked in and worked on."
In addition, the episode features the Steelers AFC North games against the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals.
