The Steelers have a strong commitment to the community, taking part in charitable events throughout the year.

Steelers.com is bringing you a rewind of the team's charitable activities during the 2009 season.

Today we feature the following events:

Light the Night Walk – Steelers Players join Aaron Smith and his family for a walk to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Smith's son Elijah has battled leukemia. Watch Video

Heroes at Heinz Field – The Steelers hosted 75 service members, each accompaniedby a family member,at Heroes at Heinz Field, an event hosted by the Steelers and VA Healthcare to honor wounded veterans from Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Watch Video

Urban Impact Football Camp – Steelers players conduct a camp for inner-city kids. Watch Video

9th Grade Nation - Ninth grade students from the Pittsburgh Public Schools got encouragement and plenty of support from the Steelers as they sat in the stands at Heinz Field for the kickoff of 9TH Grade Nation. Watch Video
