The Steelers have added a 19th undrafted rookie free agent, and his name is Aaron Bates.
Bates (6-foot, 198 pounds) is a punter from Michigan State, and he played in every one of the Spartans' 52 games during his career, all as the punter and holder. Bates left Michigan State ranked second in school history with 260 punts and seventh in punting average at 42.0.
